Back to the "drama" of last weeks storm....where the tree fell on the roof and came through the ceilings of 3 rooms in the house....Insurance Adjuster was out the next day and we had the check from Insurance Co by Friday....The workers started on the repairs today.... (great guys, by the way,...I would recommend them to anyone)
Now for the "bad" news.....my dryer quit working....without warning!
This really stressed me out...I DO NOT like dirty clothes in the hamper....so I usually do, at least, 1-2 loads a day...depending!

WELL...with all good thoughts in mind, when Rock says, lets go look at dryers....this is what I had in my mind.....

I JUST LUV the new colors and designs that MAYTAG have come out with. Of course by the time we get to town....the Maytag dealership has closed for the day....
We did manage to look at other retailers that carry the brand just for price reference....
The bad news is....this is what I got for the time being.....
A rope stretched between 2 trees.....NOW...I use to have a clothes line when I lived in town and I LUVED it...nothing beats the smell of clothes hanging out on a sunny day.....BUT....this is in the FRONT yard people!!
Also, remember I live in the woods...trees all around us.....but there are NO trees in the back yard that even come close to hang a clothes line on...just the woods.
I still can't complain though....at least I have this and it is not the middle of winter....right?!
But this does make me want a clothes line "poles" out back now!
AND we did go out today....and picked out a dryer....NOT the pretty red ones (bummer.,those babies still have a hefty pricetag.)...and it will be delivered Saturday....but in the meantime....this is what will be hanging in the "front yard".

You have really had one more week! Do hope thing will start leveling off for you. Seem when one thing bad happens, they all start. Hang in there. It will get better. The old saying, when it rains, it pours is so true.

What a week! Then again, no dryer? Maybe going around naked would be a good idea! Naked is always good!

Dang, too bad those two trees couldn't have fallen through the roof into your laundry room so you could get a new dryer from your insurance.

Your post surprised me - from what you had in mind, to what you actually GOT! Funny, but it's reality! We live in the woods as well, so I know what you're dealing with, but I would not trade it for the world! When the storm hit us last weekend, I was thankful only 3 trees came down, and only in our driveway, not on our roof!
